Four ways to receive your folders — ready to use, or supplied flat for self-assembly.
Printed folders can be supplied in four ways, depending on whether you want them ready to use straight from the box or prefer to assemble them yourself. The right choice depends on your timeline, storage space, and how the folders will be distributed.
Our four assembly options
Two closure methods — taped or interlocking — across two shipping states — flat or assembled. Each option suits a different mix of timeline, storage and end use.
Taped and flat
Folders arrive flat with double-sided tape pre-applied to the assembly tabs — peel the backing strip and fold the tabs into place. Ships in a smaller, lighter box, which can reduce delivery costs on larger runs and keeps storage compact until you need them. Clear instructions are included with every order.
Taped and assembled
Folders arrive fully assembled and ready to use, with the tabs taped and folded by our production team. There's no setup on your end — open the box, add your inserts, and they're ready to go.
Interlocking flat
Die-cut interlocking tabs and slots in place of tape — slot the tabs into the corresponding cuts to assemble. No adhesive, no waiting for glue to set, and the same shipping and storage advantages as taped flat.
Interlocking assembled
Same tab-and-slot construction, assembled by our team before dispatch. A clean, adhesive-free finish with no visible tape inside the folder, and a sturdier feel than taped assembly.

As a rough guide:
Need them ready immediately? Choose either assembled option.
Storing or shipping in bulk? Flat delivery is more efficient.
Want a premium, glue-free finish? Choose interlocking.
Tight budget on a large run? Taped and flat is usually the most economical.

Add the finishing touches
Assembly is one piece of the picture. Once you've chosen how the folder is built, you can add finishing touches — foil blocking, embossing, spot UV or lamination — and bespoke die-cutting for custom pocket shapes, card slits and window cuts that showcase your logo or product.
