Folder size & capacity guide
Not sure which folder size or capacity is right for you?
Each folder size refers to the document size it holds — an A4 folder comfortably stores A4 sheets. The finished folder sits slightly larger than the document, depending on the template you choose.
Standard folder sizes
Four ISO 216 paper sizes plus a credit-card-sized holder. Need something different? The team will quote on a bespoke build.
Our most popular size — standard documents, brochures and sales literature.
Compact format for handouts, booklets and event programmes.
Small format for postcards, vouchers and marketing inserts.
Third-A4 envelope size — letters, leaflets, tickets and compliments slips.
Credit-card-sized holder for a single plastic card — loyalty, membership, hotel-key or ID format.
Sized for standard plastic cards
Every card holder is sized to securely hold a standard 85.60 × 53.98 mm plastic card — the ID-1 format defined by ISO/IEC 7810.
Whether you need a simple slip-in holder or a printed wallet with additional pockets, every card holder we produce is sized to fit standard plastic cards without movement or damage.
Pocket capacities
Capacity is how thick the folder's inner pocket can expand before the folder won't close. Every paper folder size (A4, A5, A6, DL) ships in three standard capacities. Card holders are sized for a single plastic card and don't carry pocket capacity.

At 100gsm uncoated. Best for corporate reports and document-heavy packs.
Sheet counts are approximate, based on 100gsm uncoated paper. Thicker stocks (170gsm+) fit fewer sheets; lighter stocks fit more.
